Time is the key component in lots of data these days, where data aggregation and filtering is done on the data’s timestamp.
This presentation shows how easy it is to get started with InfluxDB and provides my lessons learned.
In today’s world lots of data is generated by IoT devices or by applications for monitoring purposes, this data and many others have the timestamp as the key component. InfluxDB is a timeseries database optimised for storage and querying this kind of data.
This presentation is derived from my personal experience with InfluxDB on one of my current projects, where for an existing external API data was moved from a traditional MySQL database to InfluxDB to deal with increasing performance issues.
